Miles From Nowhere

Provenance, Purity, Consistent

The south-west of Australia is an expanse of wild beauty, ancient landscapes, and vast stretches of untouched coastline — recognised as one of the world’s great biodiversity hotspots and cared for by the Wadandi People for more than 50,000 years. It really is an extraordinary place.

At its heart lies Margaret River, one of the Earth’s most pristine, geographically secluded coastal wine regions. Granite landforms, distinctive ironstone gravel soils, and lush forests meet the cool influence of the Indian and Southern Oceans, creating textbook conditions for exceptional wine. Even today, the region remains untouched — deeply connected to nature and still feeling miles from nowhere.

With over 150 years of combined experience tending vines, we meticulously manage our seven vineyards across the region. Each site is cared for to ensure every parcel reaches its full potential. Sustainability guides our viticulture, protecting the health of the land for generations to come.

Through thoughtful, minimal-intervention winemaking, we let the fruit speak for itself. The result is wines of purity, crispness, and precision — each bottle a reflection of the unique Margaret River terroir.

When you open a bottle of Miles From Nowhere, we hope it carries you to the untouched beauty of Margaret River. Let it take you to a place that feels truly miles from nowhere — salty, crisp air, quiet beaches, and sunlight lingering the rugged coastline.

Savour a Sauvignon Blanc like the first breath of ocean air; a Rosé like a secluded beach with a horizon stretching forever; Chardonnay buttery and golden like late afternoon light across the vines; and our reds warm, bold, and lingering, like the sun setting over the coast.

Reviews

Some pleasant varietal attributes ± the raspberries, sarsaparilla, wood smoke and warm earth ± not much just a tad. Soft plump and easy on the palate. On the wallet too. (Miles From Nowhere Tempranillo 2022)

Special Value, Halliday Wine Companion, Jane Faulkner

This wine brings you all the plush, red fruits that make malbec such an appealing variety. It has a spicy perfumed lift on the nose, with traces of rhubarb and dark plum. On the palate you get a fruit overload with juicy, delicious flavours. (Miles From Nowhere Malbec 2023)

91 Points, Ray Jordan - Top 100 Reds 2024

A most attractive early drinking savvy from this very warm vintage. It has a somewhat muted nose without the big bang of tropical fruits, but instead, a nice floral citrus thing happens. The palate is crisp and clean with a refreshing acidity driving a long finish. (Miles From Nowhere Sauvignon Blanc 2024)

90 Points, Ray Jordan - Wine Pilot 2025

The purple-red colour is so dark it’s impenetrable. Rich and ripe fruit flavours with lots of chocolate and blocky sweet, cedary oak. Full bodied yet there’s a suppleness throughout, pliable tannins yet some grip. All in all, a solid performer.
(Miles from Nowhere Sauvignon Blanc Semillon 2023)

90 Points, Jane Faulkner - Wine Companion

Medium ruby red colour. Blackcurrant, tobacco and bitumen aromas. Light to medium in weight with fresh berry fruits at the core. Well framed but lacks some savoury complexity. A touch of fruit sweetness lingers at the finish (Miles From Nowhere Cabernet Sauvignon 2022)
