The colour of this wine is quite extraordinary. It’s so deep, dark, and dense, and yet it retains an elegance and vibrant lift that speaks of this variety. Extended skin contact and maturation in French oak deliver a rich dark fruit core lifted by rhubarb crumble and savoury floral notes. An excellent wine. (Cape Domaine Malbec 2024)

“A precise, neatly crafted chardonnay with a linear structure. Aromas of lemon, grapefruit, and a trace of cumquat. The palate has lift and intensity, with flavour building into a long finish. Dry savoury notes complete a very tidy wine. (Cape Domaine Mendoza chardonnay 2023)

This was a very good vintage in Margaret River, sometimes overlooked because of the one that followed. Still, this is a terrific example of a powerful cabernet that delivers with poise and panache. Deep and opulent fruit intensity is evident on the nose and palate. It's structured, with a fine tannin–oak combination that supports the fruit seamlessly. An excellent, high-quality wine.
