John George

Rare, Timeless, Refined

"The John George wines are an indulgence of my passion" — Andy

These well-aged, mature red wines possess a smoothness and elegance that we rarely see anymore, except on the occasional discovery in the back of someone’s cellar. In contrast to the modern trend of producing wines that mature quickly to reach the market sooner, we have set out to create wines designed to age gracefully.

We have carefully cellared these wines in our temperature-controlled storage facility and are now making them available as beautifully refined and elegant expressions.

Single Vineyard Wine: The fruit for our John George is sourced from Brushwood Vineyard, located on Commonage Road in the Yallingup sub-region. The vineyard has a notable track record for producing award-winning Cabernet Sauvignon.

"I first recognised the potential of this block in 1999, when the vineyard was just one year old and still had a long journey ahead before producing great wine. The vineyard’s soil is the foundation of its ability to produce excellence. It consists of deep, consistent chunky angular gravel mixed with coarse quartz sand, loam, and clay. Positioned on top of the ridge, the vineyard benefits from free-draining soils that also retain valuable spring moisture. It is exposed to cooling breezes from both Geographe Bay to the northeast and the Indian Ocean to the west: Andy Ferreira

A captivating bouquet of intense chassis, dark chocolate, and rich cherry liqueur. The palate bursts with vibrant, rounded fruit, buoyed by a touch of mocha. The finish is elegant and persistent, with delightful suggestions of chewy liquorice. (John George Cabernet Sauvignon 2022)

95 Points, Gold - IWSC 2025

This stylish, rich, and powerfully presented cabernet sits at the top of the range. A combination of vineyards from Wilyabrup and Yallingup contributes ripe, powerful fruit, creating a wine that is both dense and delightful. Lovely notes of liqueur cherry, dark chocolate, violets, and plummy black currant richness. A most stylish and expressive wine (John George Cabernet Sauvignon 2023)
