100% Chardonnay
Region: Margaret River
The 'Mendoza' clone is renowned for producing some of Margaret River's best chardonnay. It develops "hens and chicks", where the berry size is uneven and on average smaller, producing rich and intense wines.
Combined with 100% wild and partial malolactic fermentation in French oak, this wine delivers striking and delicious creamy vanilla aromas.
Terroir: Wylco is located southeast of Witchcliffe in Forest Grove, which is part of the Karridale sub-region in southern Margaret River. The vineyard is laid out over a series of hills with two small valleys that drain into the Chapman Brook. The microclimate on this property is perfect for growing high-quality Chardonnay.
