Terroir: The fruit in this wine comes from our Allan Rock vineyard in the Wilyabrup sub region. The soil is what underpins the vines’ ability to produce excellence. It has a deep soil of consistent gravelly loam soils on a slope with an eastern aspect. The clone is a selection that has a smaller than average bunch and berry size, not specifically identified, but we refer to it as our Mount Barker selection.

Ray Jordan, 94 Points: The colour of this wine is quite extraordinary. It’s so deep, dark, and dense, and yet it retains an elegance and vibrant lift that speaks of this variety.
