Our Vermentino Takes Gold at the Geographe Alternative Varieties Wine Show 2026

There’s something exciting about seeing a newly released wine receive recognition so early. It was only bottled in early August. 

Our Miles From Nowhere Vermentino 2026 has just been awarded Gold at the recent Geographe Wine Show 2026.

Miles From Nowhere Vermentino 2026 Gold, 96 Points

The judges comments capture what we love about Vermentino. And with summer just around the corner, the timing couldn’t be better.

The judges described the wine as:

“Good colour. Great aromatics of blossom, citrus and stone fruits. Lively line on the palate with a generous fruit core, good acid and saline length. Moreish.”

Cape Domaine Rose 2026 Gold, 95 Points

Our Cape Domaine Rose 2026 was also awarded Gold, with 95 points.

The judges noted:

“Pale pink. Pretty strawberry notes. A touch of reduction providing complexity, with a slippery texture on the palate. Nice and gentle, but with good acid and phenolic line”

Geographe Wine Show 

The Geographe Wine Show is an established Western Australian WA wine competition, celebrating wines from the Geographe region while also championing alternative varieties from across WA.

The show’s alternative varieties classes are open to wines from across WA, with Vermentino specifically recognised as its own class.

The 2026 judging panel brought together experienced winemakers, wine writers and industry professionals.
