Recognition in Hong Kong: Australian Wine of the Year at the CWSA 2026

For the first time, we entered two wine competitions in Hong Kong, the China Wine & Spirits Awards (CWSA) and the Asia Wine Challenge.

China Wine & Spirits Awards

Held in Hong Kong, the CWSA is focused on the Asian wine and spirits market, with judging by industry professionals involved in importing, distributing, wholesaling, retail and purchasing.

We won two Double Gold medals and an amazing result for our Miles From Nowhere Sauvignon Blanc Semillon 2025, which was named CWSA Australian Wine of the Year.

We think we might be onto a good one here… Earlier this month, the same Sauvignon Blanc Semillon 2025 was also awarded Gold and 95 points at the International Wine & Spirit Competition (IWSC), with judging taking place right here in Margaret River.

Asia Wine Challenge

We also entered the Asia Wine Challenge for the first time.

The Asia Wine Challenge is a Hong Kong-based international wine competition focused on wines for the Asian market. Its judging panel includes wine buyers, importers, distributors, wholesalers, retailers and hospitality professionals.

The wines are tasted triple blind, so judges don't see the bottle, label or country of origin before tasting. This means the wine itself has to do the talking.
